rewemind is provided by Easy Communications, LLC, a company registered in the State of Delaware, USA (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the service.
The short version:
- Yours is yours. Everything you create belongs to you. We don’t sell your data, don’t show ads and don’t train models on it.
- We don’t look into your data unless you ask us to or the law requires it.
- You can leave at any time and take everything with you - with “Download my data”.
rewemind is at an early stage of development. It is provided “as is”, with all its faults. It may lose or damage data, become unavailable without notice, or stop existing. Features may change or disappear. You use it entirely at your own risk.
Don’t use rewemind as the only place for anything you can’t afford to lose. Keep your own backups.
Registration
Anyone can sign up. An account opens once you confirm your email and starts with a trial period. We may temporarily pause new sign-ups, for example during a wave of automated registrations, and close accounts that were not created by people.
You need to be at least 16 years old to sign up - you confirm this when you register. Only adults may pay for paid plans.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password, sign-in codes, backup codes and the devices you are signed in on safe, and for everything that happens under your account, including when you have shared these details with someone else yourself. We are not responsible for losses caused by someone using your sign-in details. Tell us as soon as you suspect someone else has access to your account.
If you lose access to both two-step sign-in and your backup codes, we will restore access only after checking that the request really comes from you. This can take time, and in doubtful cases we may refuse.
The copy on your device. The apps keep an encrypted copy of your data on your device so they can work offline. Protect your device as you would your account: turn on a screen lock and disk encryption. If you lose a device, change your password and write to us - we’ll help you cut off access from it.
Inactive accounts
If no one has signed in to an account without a paid plan for two years, we may delete it together with its content. We will warn you by email twice before that - 30 days and one week ahead - and any sign-in cancels the deletion. Items that have other owners stay with them.
Sharing
You decide whom to give access to your data (spaces, projects, individual items) and what to allow - viewing, editing, owning together with you - and you are responsible for that choice. People you share with can do exactly what you allowed, nothing more. You can revoke access at any time.
An item can have several owners. If you stop being an owner or delete your account, the item stays with the other owners. If there are no other owners, the item is deleted.
What you may not do
You may not store or share anything illegal through rewemind; infringe other people’s rights, including copyright; try to reach other people’s data or bypass permission checks; overload or disrupt the service; take its code apart to get around its protections; or resell access to it. We may block or close an account that does this, and remove illegal content.
Your content stays yours
Everything you create in rewemind belongs to you. So that the service can work, you allow us to store your content, back it up, sync it between your devices and show it to you and to the people you have given access - and only that. This permission is free of charge, worldwide, and ends when the content is deleted (subject to the backup periods in the Privacy Policy). We get no other rights to your content.
You are responsible for what you upload and for having the right to do so.
If you store documents or information about other people - family members, for example - you are responsible for having the right to do so and for them knowing about it. Decide for yourself how sensitive the documents you keep here should be: data is protected by permission checks and by encryption in transit and on disk, but there is currently no end-to-end encryption where only you hold the key. We advise particular care with identity documents (passports, ID cards, driving licences).
rewemind itself - the software, design, name and logo - belongs to us. Using the service gives you the right to use it for its purpose, but no rights in it.
Complaints about content
If you believe something in rewemind infringes your rights (copyright, for example) or the law, write to [email protected] with the subject “Complaint”. Tell us who you are, what exactly infringes and why, where it is (a link or description) and how to reach you, and confirm that you are reporting in good faith. We will review the complaint, tell you our decision and, where needed, restrict access to the content or remove it. We will inform the person whose content is affected and give them a chance to respond.
Feedback and suggestions
We welcome ideas and comments. By sending them, you allow us to use them to improve rewemind, with no obligation or payment on our side. Your content in the app is not feedback.
Third-party services
Some features work through third-party services - maps, app stores, email programs. They have their own terms, and we are not responsible for how they work.
Maps. The map is built on data from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL) and ESA WorldCover 2021 (CC BY 4.0). By opening the “Refine the point on Google Maps” window, you also accept the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The addresses and place names you save are your content: you can check and change them before saving.
Apps from the App Store
If you use a rewemind app downloaded from the App Store, these terms are an agreement between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app, its support, warranties or any claims about it - all of that is our responsibility. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. By using the app you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo and are not on any US sanctions list.
Sanctions and export control
rewemind is a service of a US company. You may not use it from countries or regions under comprehensive US sanctions, or if you are on a US sanctions list. In such cases we may close access.
No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that data stored in it will be preserved or can be recovered.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the service. This includes, among other things, loss of or damage to data, lost profits, loss of revenue, business opportunities or goodwill, business interruption, and any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages - whatever the legal basis of the claim and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or certain liability to be limited - most often liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, and for intent or gross negligence. Where that is the case, those exclusions do not apply to you, and our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Our rights during the testing period
While the testing period lasts, we reserve the right to refuse access to anyone and to delete any data - without giving reasons and without any limitation. It is more honest to say this up front: the service is not ready, and we cannot guarantee either the safety of your data or continuous operation. Keep your own copies of everything that matters to you.
Availability, changes and price
During the testing period the service is free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time and may introduce paid plans in the future. If something that is free today becomes paid, we will warn you in advance. Payment terms will appear here before payments are switched on.
Ending it
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time, in your profile. A deleted account can be restored for 30 days: sign in and press “Cancel deletion”; after that it is erased for good. Before you leave, take your data with “Download my data”.
We may close an account that breaks these terms, and we may shut down the service entirely - in that case we will make reasonable efforts to warn you in advance and give you a chance to export your data.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. If the law of the country where you live gives you protections that cannot be waived by contract, you keep them - including the right to go to court where you live. Before going to court, please write to us: most questions are resolved by email.
Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as the product develops; the date at the top shows when. We will tell you about significant changes that are worse for you in advance, at least 30 days ahead, and ask you to accept the new version; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account and take your data before that date.
Miscellaneous
- These terms together with the Privacy Policy are our entire agreement about the service.
- If any provision turns out to be invalid, the rest remain in force.
- If we don’t exercise a right straight away, we have not waived it.
- We may transfer this agreement to another company - for example, in a sale or merger - and will tell you if we do. You may not transfer your account to another person.
- We are not responsible for failures caused by things we cannot reasonably control: outages at our providers, natural disasters, actions of authorities.
- We send notices to your account email or show them in the app.
- These terms are written in English; translations are provided for convenience. If the versions differ, the English version prevails.
